How do I save the EMBAC Program Survey Dashboard as a PDF?

How do I create a PDF of the EMBAC Program Survey Dashboard?

The EMBAC Program Survey Dashboard is now published as a public Power BI dashboard, allowing EMBAC member schools to view and interact with results directly in their web browser—without needing a Power BI account or license.

Because this dashboard is published using Power BI’s public (Publish to web) option, the process for creating a PDF is slightly different from dashboards accessed through the Power BI Service.

Because this dashboard is publicly accessible, Export to PDF from the Power BI menu is not available. To create a PDF, you’ll use your browser’s Print to PDF feature.

Before you begin

  • The PDF will capture the current view of the dashboard
  • Any filters or slicers you apply will be reflected in the PDF
  • This method works in modern browsers such as Chrome, Edge, and Safari

Step 1: Open the dashboard

Open the EMBAC Program Survey Dashboard in the EMBAC Connected Community and allow it to fully load.

Step 2: Set your desired view (optional)

Adjust filters or slicers (for example, program, year, or peer group) so the dashboard reflects the view you want to capture.

Step 3: Print to PDF from your browser

  1. Open your browser’s print dialog:
    • Windows: Ctrl + P
    • Mac: Command + P
  2. In the print settings:
    • Destination / Printer: Save as PDF (or Microsoft Print to PDF)
    • Layout: Landscape (recommended)
    • Scale: Fit to page or 100%
    • Margins: Narrow or None
  3. Select Save and choose a location on your computer.

Step 4: Review your PDF

Open the PDF to confirm:

  • All visuals are fully visible
  • Text is readable
  • The correct filters were applied

You can now share, print, or include the PDF in reports or presentations.

Tips for best results

  • Maximize your browser window before printing
  • Avoid using browser zoom controls
  • If content is cut off, adjust scale or paper size in the print dialog
